Town of Lysander, Town of Van Buren & Village of Baldwinsville Hosting Public Meeting for Joint Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP)

Lysander, NY – The Town of Lysander, Town of Van Buren and Village of Baldwinsville invite all community members to attend a Public Meeting for the Joint Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP). The event will be held at the Baldwinsville Public Library (33 E Genesee St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027) on March 23, 2026, and the Public Meeting will begin at 6:30 pm.

The LWRP is a community-driven planning initiative. The LWRP serves as a planning and regulatory tool for helping waterfront communities like Lysander, Van Buren and Baldwinsville address local and regional waterway issues, improve water quality and natural habitats, promote public access to the waterfront, guide development toward areas with existing infrastructure, and support the revitalization of underutilized waterfront areas. The LWRP will provide a clear framework for aligning future land and water use decisions with community priorities and long-term sustainability goals.

The Public Meeting on March 23, 2026 will begin with a brief presentation providing an overview of the plan process and draft sections content and then break out into a poster gallery session. Members of the Waterfront Advisory Committee and the consultant team will be available to answer your questions and collect and discuss your feedback. If you have any accessibility requests for the workshop, kindly reach out at least 7 days in advance to gdesantis@bartonandloguidice.com.

The Public Meeting will be an opportunity for community members to learn about the sections of the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program that have been drafted thus far, provide feedback, and share ideas for desired projects near the waterfront. All individuals with an interest in the future of the Town of Lysander, Town of Van Buren and Village of Baldwinsville are welcome to participate and may drop in at any time.
